Airnorth

Airnorth is the major regional aviation operator in Northern Australia. Based in Darwin, the company operates 156 scheduled departures weekly, servicing eight destinations including, Maningrida, Milingimbi, Elcho Island, Gove, Groote Eylandt, Kununurra, Broome and Perth in Western Australia, Mount Isa and Coolangatta in Queensland, and transporting more than 220,000 passengers annually.

Capiteq Limited purchased Airnorth in 1993. Today the Capiteq Group operates two E170 jets, 120 Brasilia and Metroliners aircraft, and other assorted aircraft throughout the Northern Territory, Western Australia and Timor-Leste.

In-flight magazine OUTthere is available on all Airnorth services.

Baggage allowance on Airnorth services on the Brasilia and Metroliner aircraft is 13kg per person. Baggage allowance on Airnorth services on the E170 jet (76 seats) is 20kg, unless connecting to a smaller aircraft — all baggage over 13kg will then travel on a stand-by basis.

Passengers travelling on aircraft with 19 or less seats will be required to check-in all baggage — no carry-on baggage will be allowed other than small, soft handbags. On aircraft with more than 19 seats, passengers occupying a seat are allowed one small bag with a maximum weight of 4kg, and maximum dimension of 135mm x 410mm x 275mm. Carry-on baggage for the E170 jet (76 seats) is 7kg, unless connecting to a smaller aircraft when the carry on baggage will be relevant to that aircraft size and type.

Passengers for Airnorth flights are required to be checked in at least 60 minutes before the flight is due to depart. If passengers have not completed check-in 30 minutes prior to departure, travel will not be permitted.

Passengers can earn and redeem Qantas Frequent Flyer points (conditions apply) on all Airnorth flights. Passengers who book through Wotflight can enter Qantas Frequent Flyer details when they select a Qantas or Airnorth flight.
