Skywest


Skywest is Western Australia’s largest regional carrier. Skywest is a subsidiary of Advent Air and operates a fleet of Fokker 100 jet and Fokker 50 turbo-prop aircraft.

As part of its regular passenger service, Skywest provides scheduled services from Perth to Albany, Esperance, Geraldton, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Broome, Kalbarri, Kalgoorlie, Kununurra, Monkey Mia, Port Hedland, Darwin, Karratha, and between Broome/Port Hedland and Bali. They also run connecting flights between Geraldton/Carnarvon, Geraldton/Karratha and Kununurra/Darwin.

Skywest has over 90 flights every week. Each Skywest Fokker 50 flight is serviced by two cabin crew, with three cabin crew on jet services.

The total linear dimensions (i.e. length plus width plus height) of any item of baggage must not exceed 158cm (62 inches). Maximum weight of any single item is 32kg. Any item of baggage exceeding the size or weight limit will not be accepted at passenger check-in and must be consigned as cargo through a cargo office.

In addition to approved cabin baggage, each customer occupying a paid seat is entitled to the following free baggage allowances.

Economy class customers - 20kg (44lb)
Infant (not occuping a seat) - 10kg (22lb)

Skywest passengers depart and arrive in Perth via the ‘Multi-User Domestic Terminal’, which shares facilities with Virgin Blue. The terminal offers all the facilities and comforts to meet the needs of passengers. Terminal facilities include a newsagency, café, and comfortable lounge area.
